Luciano Murúa Tolcachier

Luciano Murua was born in the province of Córdoba, Argentina, in 1974. In 1997 he goes to Mexico by bus, in a trip which will lead him to live and experience latin-american culture.He stays in Mexico DF for the following 5 years. During these years he completely dedicates himself to study Renaissance Art with the Master Vlady, Valdimir kivalchich Russacov, a Russian painter exiled in Mexico in the ‘20s, who obtained the Guggenheim Award and became Chevalier Des Arts Françaises.With Vlady he gets specialized in the antique techniques of Venetian oil Temple, frescobuono, metal engraving, etching, dry point (punta seca) and aquatint.At the beginning of his Mexican life, he works in the cinema industry as scenic painter and set dresser, for American and Mexican productions.After that, he gets specialized as monumental artistic serigraphy.In 2003, back in Buenos Aires, he collaborates in several cinematographic facilities and productions working as fashion conceptual artist Sergio De Loof’s assistant.1996 –Paintings exhibition at the gallery of the Instituto de Cultura Riccercare, Córdoba, Argentina.1997 –Paintings collective exhibition at the Gallery of the Fundación Proarte, Córdoba, Argentina.1997 –Independent Edition of the books of poems: “Anhelos” and “Quebradas están las sombras.”1998 –Paintings exhibition at the Galleria del D’Ciro, Valle de Bravo, Mexico.2000 –Paintings collective exhibition at the Museo Diego Rivera, Mexico DF.2001 –Paintings collective exhibition at the Museo of the City of Mexico.2001/02 –He performs as printer at monumental artistic serigraphy.2002 –He prints independently serigraphies of works of Mexican and foreign artists.2003 –Back in Buenos Aires, he studies digital photography and editorial design.2003 –He participates as assistant in the creation of several facilities of the fashion conceptual artist Sergio de Loof.2004 –Paintings exhibition at the Galleria Artempresa, Córdoba, Argentina.
